IFS Certification

Blättler Transport und Kühllogistik AG is continuously certified by the Swiss test centre of TÜV SÜD Management GmbH to be compliant with the higher International Food Standard (IFS)’s Logistic (Version 1) level.

Below you can see an excerpt from the company’s description contained in the certification report:

‘In 1959 Blättler Transport AG evolved from a pig farm. Initially, hotel rubbish was collected, but with time increasingly more transports were carried out. Over years the fleet has increased to today’s 36 temperature-controlled lorries, with a mainstay of the transport operations being the then expanding export orders from milk processors. Another line of business was discovered in transporting pharmaceuticals. All transported and stored products are already pre-packaged by the shipper/manufacturer of goods. In 2006 the deep-freeze warehouse’s capacity was doubled to the current 8000 pallet slots. Short routes translate into speedy processing and completion of transport orders. Due to this lean arrangement of corporate governance, a familiar atmosphere prevails across the whole company.’
